Art Camp FAQ

General Information

What is included in Art Camp registration?

Registration includes professional art instruction, all art supplies and materials, daily creative activities, and supervision from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Campers will take home their completed artwork at the end of each week.

What should my child bring to camp?

  • Packed lunch (no heating available)

  • Water bottle (refills available)

  • Snacks

  • Clothes that can get messy

  • Smock or apron (optional but recommended)

  • Sunscreen (applied before arrival)

  • Hat for outdoor activities

  • Closed-toe shoes

Is lunch provided?

No, campers must bring their own lunch each day. Please pack a lunch that doesn't require heating or refrigeration, though we do have refrigerator space available if needed.

Are snacks provided?

We provide light afternoon snacks, but we encourage campers to bring their own favorite snacks as well. Please inform us of any food allergies or dietary restrictions when registering.

Facilities & Safety

What facilities are available at the Beach House?

The Beach House has a full kitchen with refrigerator (for storing lunches and snacks), bathrooms, air conditioning, large creative workspace, and a spacious backyard for outdoor activities.

Is there a bathroom at Art Camp?

Yes, the Beach House has a bathroom that all campers have access to throughout the day.

How do you ensure camper safety?

  • All campers must be signed in and out by an authorized adult

  • Campers are never permitted to leave the property without supervision

  • All campers stay together as a group during nature walks and field trips

  • First aid kit is available on site

  • Staff-to-camper ratios exceed state requirements

  • A signed waiver is required before participation

Do I need to sign a waiver?

Yes, a signed waiver is required before your child can participate in camp activities. This will be provided during registration or on the first day of camp.

Camp Logistics

What are the drop-off and pick-up times?

Drop-off: 8:45-9:00 AM Pick-up: 3:00-3:15 PM Aftercare pickup: Anytime between 3:15-6:00 PM (additional fee applies)

Is aftercare available?

Yes, supervised aftercare is available from 3:00-6:00 PM for an additional fee. During aftercare, campers can continue working on their art projects or participate in creative free time.

What ages do you accept at Art Camp?

We have two age groups:

  • Explorers: Ages 9-12

  • Innovators: Ages 12-15

How many campers do you accept per session?

Art Camp is intentionally limited to 15 campers per session. This small group size allows for personalized instruction, ensures each camper receives individual attention, and creates an intimate, supportive environment for creativity and friendship to flourish.

What is your cancellation policy?

  • Full refund with 14+ days notice before camp start date

  • 50% refund with 7-13 days notice

  • No refund with less than 7 days notice

  • Full refund if camp is cancelled by Art Camp for any reason

Art Projects & Activities

Will my child get dirty?

Most likely! We encourage creative exploration, which often means getting messy. Please send your child in clothes that can get paint, glue, or clay on them.

Do you need to be artistic to attend Art Camp?

Not at all! Art Camp is designed for all skill levels. Our supportive environment helps beginners build confidence while challenging more experienced young artists.

Will my child bring home projects every day?

Some projects take the entire week to complete, while others may come home daily. Each camper will bring home completed work at the end of the week.

Do you share photos of camp activities?

Yes! We maintain a private Instagram account exclusively for parents of registered campers to see daily activities and works in progress. Information on how to follow will be provided after registration.

Health & Special Needs

What if my child has allergies or medical needs?

Please detail any allergies, medical conditions, or special needs during registration. We can accommodate most needs when given advance notice.

What if my child needs to take medication during camp?

Please speak with the camp director about medications. Written permission and instructions are required for us to administer any medication.

Do you accommodate children with special needs?

We strive to create an inclusive environment and can accommodate many special needs with advance notice. Please contact us before registering to discuss your child's specific requirements.
